Traditional Portuguese Cuisine
Rooted in traditional Portuguese cuisine, the menu at Restaurante Dom Pipas Sintra is simple and comforting, based on local produce and recipes passed down from generation to generation. It brings together flavours from the sea and the land, with a special focus on olive oil, garlic, onion, aromatic herbs, and bread.
Fish and seafood take centre stage, along with meat dishes, stews, and roasts. More than just food, it’s a cuisine of togetherness, sharing, and tradition—one that speaks of warmth, identity, and time well spent.
Located in Sintra’s historic area, next to the CP train station, Restaurante Dom Pipas has been serving guests since 1983.
In a cosy setting, framed by typical décor and a cuisine that takes us on a journey through the authentic Portuguese flavours that give our national gastronomy its great reputation.
All products are fresh and of the highest quality, prepared not only with refinement, but also with the care and tenderness of one of the region’s most renowned cooks.
